Assignment 1

So, I managed to get into a local animation school in an attempt to get my skills up to par for my future as a web comic artist. While I have written several scripts (and working on a great one) and have all my characters down, I want to be able to draw half as well as some of the great series like Sunstone, Menage a 3, and Power Nap. My first assignment: draw a scene from memory. I took it literally, and drew the street in front of my apartment. This gave the instructor a baseline as to where my skills lie, and it seems we have a way to go. I have always been weak in backgrounds.

Of course, had I drawn the scene my wife suggested, this would get a lot more views, I'm sure.
