During these times of crisis, and witnessing all of the events on the news, processing it all can be difficult. However, I do appreciate the small fact that when things got rough, a lot of you out there turned to cartoonists to find a way to clarify things. I have seen the use of political cartoons triple on my social media, and I hope that everyone out there continues to read and consume cartoon art. There are worlds full of it, so go out and find some that will appeal to you. I know here on dA you are all on board, so this is a little bit of preaching to the choir, but I have noticed the upshift in the demand. As for those of you who create cartoon art, Thank you for all you have done. You have always had my admiration. Keep it up, and I'll do the same.

May 15th is as close to the middle of May as I could get to say "THANK YOU!" to everyone out there faving my drawings. I appreciate each and every one of them, and I will get to the handing out of llamas and personal thanks at the end of the month. I also have a big camping trip around the same time, so I'll need to think of some way to either take care of the last few drawings beforehand, or hand it all in late. I'm thinking early, but no telling. I guess we'll all find out in a couple of weeks. I'm also keeping track as to which one is everyone's favorite, so maybe I'll ink and paint up whichever sketch gets the most favs. Gotta keep mysel

I'm going to try to get off my ass here this month, and get into something (I think) I created called "Sketch-A-Day May." It's meant to be a sort of similar companion month to "Inktober," in which participants (namely, me) are asked to sketch something and post it  every day for the month of May. That means 31 new drawings - yes, they have to be new drawings. Nothing recycled, but new drawings of old pictures is allowed. One every day of the month. If I get caught up in something and miss a day, that just means I have to draw two the next day, so there should be no reason you shouldn't get a full 31 pics by June 1st. Now, so far so good, bei
